This dish draws inspiration from our travels to Hawaii, celebrating the islands’ vibrant flavors and simplicity.

It’s healthy, fresh, and lightly prepared, offering a refreshing balance of mild, clean notes complemented by a gentle heat from the tōgarashi.

Part 1:
Wonton Shells

Step 1

Preheat the fryer with fresh oil to 375 degrees F.

Step 2

Place one wonton wrapper into each slot of a taco fry basket.


‍

‍Step 3

Fry until golden brown and crisp.


‍

Step 4

Once the shells are golden, remove them from the fryer. Season with tōgarashi and salt before cooling.

Part 2:
Tuna Tartare

Step 1

Place the diced tuna into a stainless steel mixing bowl and refrigerate until you are ready to dress and serve.

Step 2

Whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, olive oil, lemon juice and lime juice.


‍

Step 3

Lightly toss the tuna with the dressing and stuff the taco shells with about 2 tablespoons of tartare.

Part 3:
Garnish

Step 1

Garnish your tacos with the ginger, avocado, scallions and tōgarashi spice.

Serve and enjoy.
