With origins in China, kiwifruit or Chinese Gooseberry, is a beautiful fruit with sweet and sour notes. It is delicious on its own, but charring it changes its flavor profile into a unique dish that makes for great passed hors d'oeuvres.

Using a serrated knife, slice each kiwi into 1/2-inch thick pieces.

Begin charring your kiwi slices with a butane torch.

Transfer your charred kiwi slices to a cutting board, the charred side facing down.

Using a round cookie cutter, press down into the kiwi, cutting off the skin.

Plate your charred kiwi and top with blueberry yogurt or your choice of topping.
